Up to 5 staff or community representatives from each NGO are invited to attend this event.<br><br>TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT, PLEASE EMAIL <b><a href="mailto:vuong.loan@livelearn.org" target="_blank">vuong.loan@livelearn.org</a> </b>BY 12PM FRIDAY 12 MARCH.<br><br><br>This is an associated side event of the Fourth Regional 3R Forum in Asia organized by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), Government of Viet Nam, Ministry of Environment, Japan and United Nations Center for Regional Development (UNCRD).<br><br>The 3R initiative was endorsed at the 2004 G8 Summit, Sea Island, Georgia and officially launched at the Ministerial Conference in April 2005 hosted by the Government of Japan. In 2009, the intergovernmental meeting, the "First Regional 3R Forum in Asia” was held in Japan. After this meeting, 20 Japanese NGOs working on 3R collaborated to hold the First Asia 3R Citizens Forum, attended by NGOs from China, Korea and Indonesia. The Forum addressed environmental concerns including improper waste management, overutilised disposal sites, and health problems resulting from inappropriate waste processing and recycling activities. <br><br>The Asia 3R Citizens Network was formally established in 2010 as the successful outcome of the First Citizens Forum in order to form a partnership with NGOs in Asia.
