<div class="MsoNormal">I am looking for collaboration partners (oversea research institutions) in Vietnam to start an application for funding of about £50,000.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">For the follow-up, the amount could be up to a few million pounds. The funding<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">This is an opportunity for us to exchange ideas and to train Vietnamese students in our state-of-the art laboratories in Manchester.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">Major part of the funding will cover travel cost and equipment’s required for experiments.<br />
All you need to do is to come to Manchester with ideas and man-power. And we do the rest.<o:p></o:p><o:p> </o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">Our group is located at the Photon Science Institute, equipped with several (femtosecond) laser systems and molecular beamlines.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Our current research of interest is about time- and frequency resolved spectroscopy of molecules, clusters, and nanostructures. We are building a table-top high-order harmonic generation based EUV (10-120 eV) beamline, which can later be used for time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (gas phase, surfaces, solid states) and coherent diffractive imaging. <o:p></o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">The University of Manchester has been allocated £400,000 by EPSRC to enable the UK engineering and physical sciences research community to establish a portfolio of ODA activity under the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF). All areas of engineering and physical sciences research can be included as long as the topic is compatible with ODA guidelines. Multidisciplinary projects may be supported as long as the majority of the work proposed is within the EPSRC remit and they comply with ODA guidelines. Business case and proposal writing activities are not within the scope of this funding. It is expected that approximately 8-10 projects with a maximum value of £50,000 will be supported under this call. <o:p></o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">Funded projects must have an end date of 31 March 2017 and the bulk of the funding (75%) is required to be spent in this calendar year, i.e. by 31 December 2016. The grant funds may not be used for capital expenditure, i.e. no single items of equipment above the £10k threshold are permitted. There is no requirement that matched funding or effort should be attracted from international research partners, but international collaboration with partners in ODA-eligible countries is encouraged to maximise the impact of the funding and to ensure the research is ODA compliant.
