Dear colleagues,

Some critics insist that efforts to empower women to integrate in the regional and global social and economic environment could threaten traditional cultural values or the family. However, experience has shown that many industrializing countries have been able to minimize the negative impacts of the integration by enacting pro-family policies that have also encouraged women's economic empowerment. In fact, there are a range of policy options that Vietnam could consider that could lay the groundwork for more competitive economy and a more inclusive society.

What are key steps empower women in international integration? How can women-run businesses reach out to global market? How to ensure Vietnamese women's competiveness in the global labor market? How can Vietnamese women contribute to the regional and global social and cultural development?
