DGRV - Deutscher Genossenschafts- und Raiffeisenverband e. V. (German
Cooperative and Raiffeisen Confederation) is the national apex organisation
and top-level auditing federation of the German cooperative sector. DGRV is
since more than 30 years active in international development cooperation
aiming on the sustainable development of the cooperative sector worldwide.

In Vietnam, DGRV supports the transformation and sustainable development of
the cooperative sector since 1999 by providing first hand cooperative
expertise, short- and long-term consultancy as well as tailor-made solutions
for project partner.

As we are expanding our project activities in the field of sustainable
devlopment of agricultural cooperatives and market links we are looking for
an experienced Project Advisor Agriculture (Male/Female) to join our team.
The required skills and experience as well as the tasks and responsibilities
are as the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

The main purpose of the job is to provide consultancy and training to
project partners, cooperatives and farmer groups who want to establish a
cooperative. Objective is to support the development of sustainable business
models for cooperatives entering not only the supply chain but also adding
value to their products. Thus, as a Project Advisor Agriculture you will:

-       Conduct trainings and workshops

-       Develop target group oriented training and workshop material

-       Provide direct consultancy to target group

-       Design and organize round table meetings for stakeholders

-       Conduct monitoring activities in order to analyse project develoment

-       Design survey and conducting research work

-       Analyze quantitative and qualitative data

-       Develop documentations for DGRV needs

-       Provide translation to project management when necessary

-       Proceed business trips within Vietnam

-       Other tasks assigned according to management

 

Essential skills required

-       Master degree with 5 years work experience in agriculture (preferred
in private sector) or demonstrated success supporting entrepreneurial
business management

-       Experience in implementing field work preferably related to small
and mediuem business development

-       Experience with or expert on value chain development

-       Experience with or expert on national and international quality
standards such as VietGAP and GLOBALG.A.P.

-       Experience with or expert on national and international
certification schemes 

-       Advanced written and verbal communication in either English or
German

-       Excellent presentation skills

 

Desirable skills required

-       Able to work independently, flexibly and responsively

-       Able to adapt to changing working conditions

-       Able to prioritize and meet deadlines

-       Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
etc.)

-       Willingness to travel on short notice (The position requires
frequent travel to provinces in the north, central and the south of Vietnam)

-       Experienced in international development projects

 

DGRV offers a competitive remuneration package, including salary, benefits
and a leave entitlement. The successful candidate is expected to commence
