Dear all,

The USAID Workforce for an Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem (WISE)
Activity is USAID Vietnam’s effort to support innovative ways to develop
the workforce readiness sector by supporting the country’s burgeoning
market for training workers in Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) skill
sets. The goal of the WISE activity is to pilot solutions that can improve
Vietnam’s 4IR workforce readiness status. WISE seeks to collaborate with
the private sector and not-for-profit training institutions, employers, and
other relevant stakeholders to innovate, test, and expand market-driven,
sustainable models for a more competitive workforce to facilitate Vietnam’s
transition to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

The needs for digital professionals are increasing rapidly and creating a
large gap for digital talent in local markets. WISE’s Training Partnership
(TP) aims to bridge this gap by bringing together actors with regards to
4IR to: (i) supply (private or not-for-profit training institutions who
produce skilled graduates); (ii) demand (employers and recruiters who seek
to hire skilled workers); and (iii) intermediaries (financing partners,
human resources firms, communications firms, and other stakeholders
interested in building markets for 4IR skills in Vietnam) to increase the
visibility of career pathway information. This involves increasing
knowledge of what kinds of jobs are available, what the skills and
training/education needs are, anticipated salary ranges, opportunities for
certification for appropriate skills, and who are the employers seeking
these workers, among other things.

To achieve the above goals, USAID WISE seeks to hire a Communication and
Project Officer to (i) work with partners on designing and implementing
communication plans to promote the work of WISE and partners in Vietnam;
(ii) conduct analysis on digital jobs, skills, and trends to inform WISE
intervention and work; (iii) support project implementation.
