<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">HELVETAS is implementing the project “Regional Training Network (RTN) for Scaling-up of Pro-poor value chains” in Asia and Pacific Region, funded by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The project aims to establish a regional self-sustaining training facility, comprises national Centers of Excellences, able to provide trainings and services required to strengthen the capacity of Governments especially the implementing partners of inclusive
value chain development projects in India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and Laos in identifying, designing, implementing and scaling up pro-poor value chain initiative.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="VI" style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Within the framework of this project, the Value Chain Capacity Building Network (VCB-N) was launched in October 2016 comprising 16 CoE initial members coming from seven target countries. The VCB-N network
is currently in its transition process from being largely project driven and financed, to become an independent and self-sustaining network. This entails the establishment of an independent VCB-N secretariat. The secretariat will be the main operational body
of the VCB-N and is core in supporting the VCB-N Steering Committee. A roadmap to guide the transition process is developed which includes an assessment of the preferred country location for the future VCB-N Secretariat.
