Hoạt động này bắt nguồn từ việc sử dụng ĐVHD làm thực phẩm, rượu, thuốc y học cổ truyền, vật nuôi và đồ trang trí. Đây là một trong những nguyên nhân chính dẫn đến sự biến mất của nhiều loài ĐVHD nguy cấp, quý, hiếm trong các hệ sinh thái của Việt Nam và đang đẩy nhiều loài tới bờ vực tuyệt chủng. Cá thể tê giác cuối cùng của Việt Nam đã bị bắn chết để lấy sừng vào năm 2010 là một ví dụ. Hiện nay, các nhà khoa học ước tính rằng trong môi trường tự nhiên chỉ còn chưa đến 30 cá thể hổ và 100 cá thể voi sinh sống. </span><br style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><br style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:13px">PGS., TS. This is due to consumers purchasing luxury gifts for their bosses or other influential people, or purchasing wildlife meat and wine to consume with family and friends. </font><br><br><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The first video clip recalls an important message from President Ho Chi Minh in 1963: “</font><i style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:13px">The forest is gold. This not only includes eating wildlife as meat, in wine, and traditional medicine, but also the demand for exotic pets, ornaments and decorations. It is considered to be one of the biggest causes of the loss of endangered wildlife from Vietnam’s ecosystems, and is pushing many species to the brink of extinction.
