Plan is an international humanitarian, child centered community development organization without religious, political or governmental affiliation. Plan’s vision is a world in which all children realize their full potential in societies that respect people’s rights and dignity.
Plan in Vietnam has started using Child Centred Community Development Approach (CCCD) – the child centred rights based approach – in its development programmes since 2003. In order to increase the application of the rights based approach for better project sustainability and realization of Child Rights, Plan just launched a national project on Rights Based Approach to Development Promotion (RBAP). With the duration of 3 years, from 2009 to 2011, the project will be implemented at national level and in all provincial program units (PU) of Plan in Vietnam, including Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai and Kontum. Other provinces where Plan is working will also be covered by the project with appropriate scope.
The RBAP Project aims at a comprehensive application of Rights Based Approach to Development (RBAD) in all of its programs and other relevant fields and promotion of this approach with the partners
They are looking for the consultant for best practice documentation
The purpose: is to provide effective technical support for create a good foundation and start of RBAD related good practice/lesson learnt documentation and sharing inside Plan Vietnam and with other Asian country offices.
The expected results of the consultancy package are as follows:
1) Methods and documentation types for best practice/lesson learnt will be developed, together with a good technical guideline;
2) Good documentation of RBAD best practice/lesson learnt will be developed and available for use;
3) Selected staff and Area Communication Officers of the selected Program Units will have better skills of developing documentation of best practice/lesson learnt through the on-site training.
The outputs of the consultancy package include:
1) A technical guideline of developing documentation of best practice/lesson learnt;
2) The on-site short training courses for PU staff, also including training materials and staff’s evaluation and;
3) Documentation of RBAD best practice/lesson learnt
Requirement of consultant:
- PHD or Master degree in fields
- Very good knowledge and understanding of child rights and rights based approach to development
- Ext ensively experienced in researching and developing documentation relating child rights;
- Very good experience in best practice/lesson learnt sharing at national level;
- Very good writing and documentation skills in both Vietnamese and English;
- Very well experienced in working with and collecting information from government officials, communities and children;
- Very good and extensively experienced in providing training and developing technical guideline/manual
