The northern province of Hoa Binh has mobilized over VND2 billion ($108,200) to build funds for the poor since the beginning of the year.
Recently, the fund has been distributed democratically and openly. The province has built 135 houses of national unity for the poor and earmarked VND300 million to assist central and central highlands people who were stricken by storms and floods so far this year.
