Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has decided to allocate VND98 billion ($5.5 million) and 3,500 tons of rice more to six central and central highlands provinces seriously affected by typhoon Ketsana. Thanh Hoa province will receive VND10 billion and 1,000 tons of rice, Nghe An province VND10 billion and 2,000 tons of rice and Dak Lak province VND20 billion and 500 tons of rice. Gia Lai province will get VND20 billion, Ha Tinh province VND5 billion and Phu Yen province VND5 billion. The remaining VND13 billion will be added to the Defense Ministry’s budget on rescue operations.
