REACH is a local non-government, non-profit organisation which specialises in providing vocational training, career advice and job placement for Vietnam’s most disadvantaged youth. REACH is under management of VUSTA (www.reach.org.vn [1])
REACH provides practical training for 3 to 6 months in areas including food and beverage, sales and marketing, web and graphic design, housekeeping, beauty spa & makeup, hairdressing, cooking, 5 star hotel training (YCI program), coding and 3D modelling across training centres in Hanoi, Danang, Hue, Hoi An and Hai Duong. We have been recruiting and opening 3 batches a year in every March, July and November. Our goal is to ensure that 80% of students are in employment six to twelve months after graduating from their course.
REACH has built up a Webase system (MIS version 1) to manage the students’ information and progression since 2014 (www.reach.mis.org.vn [2] ). This system was designed to REACH’s 3 month training model. REACH has some program movements such as the 6 months training model and one year training model for visualy imprared. REACH also expects to extend the scope of monitoring and database management as well as adding more features on MIS version 1 as a part of the Alumni connection strategy. However, the system was built up on Drupal technology which shows some limitations in adapting to the needs of REACH’s changes. Therefore, REACH needs a developer to help build the advance program managememnt softwares.
