Please be informed that WWF-Vietnam is seeking for consultant to conduct survey: Policy analysis to identify gaps, barriers, and solutions for aquaculture sustainable production [1]
Objective of the consultancy
The objective of the service are:
- To identify valid policy for aquaculture production
- To identify the gaps and barriers of current policies for aquaculture sustainable production, especially for stocking shrimp and Pangasius.
- To propose solutions/recommendations for aquaculture sustainable production in the Mekong Delta.
Outputs/ deliverable of performance and time (Outputs/ deliverable of performance)
The final report should include at least the following:
- Identifying the valid/current policy for aquaculture production
- Identifying the gaps and barriers of current policies for aquaculture sustainable production, especially for stocking shrimp and Pangasius.
- The briefing of 5 valid/ current policies supporting for sustainable shrimp and Pangasius aquaculture.
- Proposing solutions/recommendations for aquaculture sustainable production in the Mekong Delta, especially for stocking shrimp and Pangasius.
The study will be completed no later than 27 Dec. 2015.
Required profile of consultant team
- Have at least MSc degree in law/policy, aquaculture, or related background.
- In-depth knowledge of the constraints to policies and regulations about aquaculture production, especially stocking shrimp and Pangasius and the particular barriers that different stakeholders face during last 10 years in aquaculture sector of Vietnam.
- Recognized contribution to the sub-laws documents and enforcing of current policies and regulations about stocking shrimp and Pangasius membership to networks, and/or participation and leadership in alliances and committees on these topics.
- Evidence of aquaculture policies and regulations developed during the last five years.
