Within the Project for adaptation to climate change in the Mekong delta in Tra Vinh province (AMD Tra Vinh project), in 2016 the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Tra Vinh province implemented 15 testing models (6 farming models and 9 aquaculture models) with the participation of 113 households on the area 39.7 ha. Total cost for the implementation is 6.476 billion dong. In which, AMD project financed 2.742 billion dong (accounting for 42%), the contribution of participating households is 3.734 billion dong (accounting for 58%). To date, the models are completed.
In order to sufficiently evaluate the economic efficiency, the adaptation to climate change, replicability of models to add in the list of up-scaled models by CCA Fund, the Project Coordination Unit will recruit a group of qualified consultants with appropriate experience and profession to comprehensively evaluate the testing models in the fields implemented by DARD in 2016. The result will help identify successful models to be up-scaled by CCA Fund.
