FOUR PAWS Viet is a Vietnamese NGO - partner of FOUR PAWS International, an animal welfare organization founded in 1988 with the Headquarter in Vienna, Austria, and has offices in 10 other countries.

FOUR PAWS aim to support the conservation of wild animals and prevent them from trade and exploitation while rescuing and rehabilitating those animals caught in the wildlife trade, to campaign for improved policy and enforcement through our work and the work of our partners and to raise public awareness for the need of biodiversity protection and conservation of wild animals and their habitats. Our BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh will come into operation in September 2017.

FOUR PAWS Viet is searching for positive thinking people with great dedication and passion to animal welfare as soon as possible:

Position 1: Education and Communication Manager (m/f)

Fulltime / BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh, close to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam

Summary/ Objectives: Develop and implement an educational concept with focus on animal and environment protection for Vietnam.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing, coordinating and managing the implementation of the educational concept

1. Work with FPI’s Education and Communication team to develop an educational concept with focus on animal and environment protection for Vietnam

2. Design and develop educational/training programs and training materials in consistence with the concept

3. Establish networks and ensure cooperation with schools and other institutions in line with the FOUR PAWS Viet Youth Engagement Program

4. Coordinate workshop/training activities

5. Deliver the training programs when required

6. Apply for permission to conduct workshops in public schools

7. Manage the FOUR PAWS Viet Education Board game production

8. Maintain correspondence with students via social media

9. Translate Education and Communication materials from English into Vietnamese and vice versa

2. Implement the educational concept inside Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh

1. Develop educational exhibition elements for Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh

2. Coordinate and perform guided tours and events in Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh

3. Prepare, implement and evaluate visitor surveys

4. Train and manage volunteers and new team members in environmental education

5. Support the development of a tourism strategy for Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh

3. Supervise the Education and Communication Assistant

1. Oversee the tasks of the Education and Communication Assistant

2. Check the content of articles for FOUR PAWS Viet Facebook and other social media pages  

4. Additional duties:

1. Translate other documents when needed.

2. Assist foreign staff in working with Vietnamese people when required

3. Others as assigned by Four Paws Viet’s Director

Requirements:

• Holding relevant bachelor or master degree in education, environment, marketing or communication

• Very good written and spoken English

• Computer literacy (MS Office requested)

• Experience in NGO work in Vietnam is an advantage

• Experience with student clubs/ volunteers is an advantage

• Experience in working with students and school children is an advantage

• High level of responsibility and personal drive

• Creative and strategic thinking person

• Willingness to travel

• Dedication and passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS values and issues

Position 2: Education and Communication Assistant (m/f)

Fulltime / BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh, close to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam

Summary/ Objectives:

• Implement communication and branding activities for Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh in line with Four Paws International marketing strategies.

• Assist with the education club/program.

Responsibilities:

1. Communication Responsibilities

1. Implement the FOUR PAWS International and FOUR PAWS Viet Communication and branding strategies and guidelines

2. Assist in managing FOUR PAWS Viet Facebook, website and other social media pages

3. Create and post engaging content using photos and videos of FOUR PAWS’ work

4. Capture photos and videos of FOUR PAWS Viet’s activities and events

5. Maintain a database of all FOUR PAWS Viet photos and videos from all the team members

6. Furnish FOUR PAWS International with content, pictures and footage of the bears in Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh for its publication

7. Translate communication materials from English to Vietnamese and vice versa

2. Fundraising Responsibilities

1. Provide assistance in preparing presentations and promotional materials

2. Report about potential donors who visit FOUR PAWS Viet Facebook or website and propose relevant actions

3. Coordination of the FOUR PAWS Viet visitor center activities

1. Assist where required in the design and implementation of the visitor center in the Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh.

2. Provide talks to the public as well as tours for visitors.

3. Support in the design and setting up of exhibits and signage around the sanctuary.

4. Education and Communication team development

1. Assist in advertising volunteer/assistant positions for the Education Program.

2. Assist to train volunteers and new education team members.

5. Additional duties:

1. Translate other documents when needed.

2. Assist foreign staff in working with Vietnamese people when required

3. Others as assigned by the Education and Communication Manager or the Site Manager

Requirements:

• Holding relevant bachelor degree in marketing, communication, education or environment

• Very good written and spoken English

• Computer literacy (MS Office requested)

• Experience in NGO work in Vietnam is an advantage

• Experience in content management for website, Facebook is an advantage

• Experience in marketing activation, event organization is an advantage

• High level of responsibility and personal drive

• Creative and strategic thinking person

• Willingness to travel
