NOTICE OF CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST VIE/033 14 008
Title: Short-term (national) consultancy to support the development of detailed Implementation Plans on gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in three districts
Maximum budget: VND 130 Million – performance period of two and a half months
The CLIMATE ADAPTED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION PROJECT – VIE/033 launches a call for Expressions of Interest for the acquisition of services for a Short-term (national) consultancy to support the development of detailed Implementation Plans on gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in three districts on behalf of Project VIE/033 receiving financial support from the Governments of Viet Nam and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Service providers that are invited to express their interest to offer the services mentioned above are Vietnamese individuals and organisations. Indicatively, service providers will have to demonstrate their technical capacity and experience as per the following requirements:
- First degree in sociology, economics, rural development, or another relevant social science subject;
- Masters Degree or another specialisation in gender issues;
- At least 8 years demonstrated experience and up to date specific expertise in issues of gender equity, equality and meanstreaming, as well as women’s economic empowerment and advancement, in line with current international theory and practices;
- Demonstrated experience with developing gender-sensitive M&E systems;
- Substantial experience working with, and in support of government agencies and mass organisations at provicial, district and commune level;
- Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills;
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
The start of the contract is foreseen for 15 August 2014 and for a duration of two and a half months. Service providers must be available for the entire period and willing to work in Hue City, Quang Dien, Phu Vang and Phu Loc districts, Thua Thien Hue province. The maximum budget available for this contract, all-inclusive, is VND 130 million (all taxes included). Detailed TOR are attached separately.
Interested service providers are invited to submit sufficient documentation in response to the selection criteria. The shortlist of candidates to be invited to submit a complete proposal will consist of the three (3) candidates with highest qualification and rank against the selection criteria.
