The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the following positions:
1.Project Assistant (PA):
The incumbent will work for the Project on “Enhancing employment policies, economic stabilization and restructuring toward an inclusive, effective, and sustainable growth model for Viet Nam. The PA will report to the Country Director through the National Project Coordinator (NPC) and will work in close collaboration with the project team, programme unit, and other projects of the Country Office as required. The assignment is 12 months and based at the ILO Country Office in Hanoi with a possibility of extension subject to fund availability.
Minimum Requirements include:
- Completion of secondary school education. Formal training in accounting and/or finance from a recognized commercial school or equivalent would be an advantage.
- At least five years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of programme and budget and good understanding of administrative policies and procedures
- Ability to work with word processing, spread sheet, web-browser, as well as other computer software packages required for work.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to prepare preliminary reports and to draft correspondence.
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing.
2.Administrative and Financial Assistant (AFA)
The incumbent will work for the Project (1) Skills for Trade, Applying the G20 Training Strategy; and (2) Enhancing the Employability of Workers and the Competitiveness of Businesses for the Socio-economic Development of Viet Nam. The AFA will report to the Country Director through the National Project Coordinator (NPC) and will work in close collaboration with the Project Team, Programme unit, Operations unit and Other Projects of the Country Office as required. The assignment is 12 months and based at the ILO Country Office in Hanoi with a possibility of extension subject to fund availability.
Minimum Requirements include:
- Completion of secondary school education. Formal training in accounting and/or finance from a recognized commercial school or equivalent would be an advantage.
- At least five years of relevant work experience.
- High degree of written and spoken fluency in English and Vietnamese.
- Proven ability to use word processing software and email.
- Good knowledge and understanding of administrative policies and procedures and office procedures.
- Knowledge of the accounting and finance procedures and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply finance and accounting methods.
- Ability to maintain financial records and prepare clerical accounting reports and statements.
- Ability to search and retrieve information from databases and compile reports.
