The Project Social Dimension of Sustainable Green Growth in Vietnam aims to achieve a more inclusive green growth path by strengthening the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs’ capacity to identify and assess the impact of structural reforms and ensure that measures to compensate negative side effects are in place.
The project is part of the Program Macro Economic Reform/Green Growth, which supports the Vietnamese Government developing and implementing macro-economic reforms toward a green, more inclusive model of growth.
The Project is looking for national candidates to fill the following positions:
1. Junior Project Officer “SD_GGP”
Duty station: Ha Noi, Viet Nam
Duration: ASAP until 31. December 2018 with possible extension
Main responsibilities:
- Support to the Planning, coordination of the activities to implement the human capacity development (HCD) strategy of the project incl. partaking in the co-trainer and multiplier tasks (train-the- trainer) and actively assisting/partaking in training programs
- Participating in the reflection for modifying PIA, SIA approach and methodology with the project and in consultations with government agencies and stakeholders
- Organization of planning and execution of Local Grants (partner-owned subprojects) on the side of MOLISA/Legal Department as the lead partner in close cooperation with the project administration
- Facilitating, supporting the preparation of PIA, SIA reports in pilot work streams
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of project outputs and outcomes
- Knowledge management
Minimum requirements:
- At least 2-3 years professional experience in a comparable position on the side of development partner or host government organization
- Experienced in providing development technical advice and process management
- Knowledge about the policy making process in Vietnam.
- Working experience in knowledge institutions (think tanks, university institutes etc.) and/or consulting industry of additional value
- Constructive team player in cross-culture environment.
- Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills
- Very good skills in English and Vietnamese in speaking, reading and writing
- Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed
- Good working knowledge of ITC technologies
2. Administrative Assistant cum Translator “SD_GGP”
Duty station: Ha Noi, Viet Nam
Duration: ASAP until 31. December 2018 with possible extension
Main responsibilities:
- Administrative support to the Project Social Dimension (SD) in accordance with the rules and regulations (OuR) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and/or the GIZ Office in Viet Nam
- Management of the SD secretariat
- Administrative support to all logistics around international and local events/workshop organisation
- Management of adequate project documentation as well as knowledge dissemination, including filing of documents of the project office in reference files or in DMS in line with GIZ’s filing rules
- Support to the finance and procurement staff in preparation of documentation
- Assistance to SD team members in administrative tasks, when required.
- Provides professional high quality interpretation at conferences/workshops/meetings and translation of professional reports and documents from Vietnamese to English and vice versa;
- Files and maintains information and datasets (electronic and printed) relevant for the projects of the Project Social Dimension;
- Supports the projects PR and communication activities, especially in the field of material production and quality control.
Minimum requirements:
- University degree in relevant field of work or related studies such as accounting, business administration or public administration;
- At least 2-3 years of professional working experience in a similar position;
- Ability to communicate with and relate easily to both international and national colleagues;
- Good working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems (telephone, fax, e-mail, internet and its software);
- Excellent command of Vietnamese and English in writing and speaking;
- Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed;
- Good working knowledge of ITC technologies
