Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged the Ministry of Health to submit new anti-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) solutions to him, amid the new disease developments. PM Phuc made the order at a meeting on August 27, following some proposals for a new directive of the prime minister, different from Directives 15, 16, and 19 in the previous outbreaks. He also asked the health ministry to compose a detailed guideline about safety at hospitals, schools, workplaces, and means of public transport. He proposed that local authorities should discipline violators and have specific plans to promote the local economic development, noting that the imposition of social distancing order has to be considered at a suitable scope. In a related development in Danang hotspot, Danang Party Chief Truong Quang Nghia highlighted that the city would continue carrying out Directive 16 until the end of August.
