Special meeting of Child Rights Working Group on 27 February was held to celebrate the 35 years since Vietnam implemented the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1990 -2025). All members have been sharing lots of valuable information and a range of meaningful activities they had done during February and the workplan for the remain time of the year.

On November 20, 1989, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) – the first international legal document on children’s rights, has been ratified by countries worldwide, committing to building a world where every child is protected, loved, and given the opportunity to thrive. With a pioneering spirit, Vietnam became the first country in Asia and the second country in the world to ratify the Convention on February 20, 1990.
2025 marks 35 years since Vietnam implemented the Convention – a remarkable journey filled with achievements! The tireless efforts of the government, social organizations, communities, including INGOs, Local NGOs and many other stakeholders, enthusiastic, dedicated and devoted staff have helped millions of children having better lives.
A “Slogan” in the continuous journey is always “Let’s keep working together to protect and empower children, creating a world that is safe, fair, and full of hope”.
