The Vietnam Integrated National Program on Avian Influenza, Pandemic Preparedness and “One Health”, 2011-2015 is expected to build on the activities and achievements of the OPI. The proposed scope of activities and tentative objective for the new plan is to reduce and mitigate the risks to public health and economic growth associated with new and emerging diseases by:
(i) Sustaining the response to HPAI A(H5N1) in animals and humans (ii) Continuing to enhance multi-sectoral pandemic preparedness and response
