The project "Vietnam Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation" (VFBC) is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented for 5 years from July 2020 to June 2025. The project's objectives are to reduce greenhouse emissions, increase carbon sequestration from production forests that are natural forests and plantations in Vietnam, and conserve biodiversity in forest areas with high biodiversity value in the country. Sub-Component 6, Component 2 of the project implemented by Helvetas Vietnam aims to improve livelihoods for communities living in buffer zones of national protected areas through promoting conservation-friendly enterprises and production.
