Consultant Working with SNV

In Vietnam, SNV has been working from 1995 on supports local organisations (state and non-state), mostly at the meso level, through a combination of advisory, knowledge brokering and advocacy services. SNV invests in 5 different sectors, i.e. small holder cash crops (SHCC), rural water supply and sanitation, renewable energy/biogas, rural tourism and timber & non-timber forestry products sectors.
Within the SHCC sector, SNV interventions contributes to poverty reduction through increased income and employment creation for a large group of household, micro and small scale enterprises. Currently, SNV is spporting clients in Lai Chau and Lao Cai provinces to strengthen their capacity for supprting the development of cardamom value chain for poverty reduction. 

SNV would like to invite Vietnamese consulting organizations or Local Capacity Builders who are interested in working with SNV to provide capacity support to Lai Chau and Lao Cai clients to submit a proposal for undertaking the assignment on “Capacity building of AEC of Lai Chau and Lao Cai for development of computer-based training materials and coach them in the production of such for 3 topics in cardamom production”
The proposal should be issued in the English language. The proposal should outline the content of implementation plan, methodology, work plan, a detailed break-down of the consultancy budget (consultancy fee and travel allowances will be covered by SNV using our standard rate, transportation and accommodation will be paid against receipts, and workshop cost covered by clients), profile of the organization (if applicable), CVs of experts proposed to conduct the assignment, and an overview of comparable assignments carried out in the past.

SNV will appraise the submitted proposals based on which one consultant, consultancy firm, or Local Capacity Builder will be assigned. All rights are with SNV to engage or disengage with the proposal. The bidding organization or consultant may be required to revise the proposal if necessary based on SNV comments. After an agreement has been reached on the proposal a contract will be signed by both sides for implementation.
