Program Officer
Backgrounds:
The "International Executive Master in Development Studies" (IMAS) is a Joint program between AITVN (Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam) and IHEID (Geneva-based Institut de Hautes études Internationales et du Développement, Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies). The IMAS has been designed to respond to the training needs and demands of development professionals from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Switzerland and other European countries. Students of IMAS come from diverse organisations such as: governmental organizations, local and international NGOs, cooperation and development agencies, centres for training and applied research, and private institutions. The aim of the IMAS is to bring together theoretical knowledge of major development challenges, with the practical experience of the participants, around a core theme: “Development and globalisation, between growth and exclusion”. In addition to theoretical knowledge, this IMAS also offers participants the chance to acquire tools that enable them to properly comprehend the global context: in other words, cross-cutting competencies whose academic dimension is increasingly indispensable to any professional training. Through its diversity of teaching methods, the IMAS provides a dual analysis of the relationship and links between globalisation and development. Students of IMAS will study in Hanoi and Geneva.
The IMAS Program is currently looking for a Program Officer.
