Save the Children in Vietnam (SC) works to promote every child’s rights to survival, protection, participation and development as set forth in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  The current programme focuses on the following core sectors: Health and Nutrition; HIV/AIDS prevention; Care and support; Education; Child protection; Child-focused emergency preparedness and response; Child rights agenda, including Civil society development, Economic opportunities, Child poverty Research, and Advocacy for child-friendly development policy and practice.

Vacancy:  Project Officer - Street Youth  
Based in Haiphong

They are now seeking a qualified Vietnamese national to fill in the position of Project Officer for overseeing, monitoring and providing technical support to local partner sub-agreement management and implementation of project activities for male and female street youth in Hai Phong. 

Job purpose
The Project Officer (PO) will provide technical assistance to the local partner staff, outreach workers, Street Educators and Peer Educators in Hai Phong to ensure that programming meets intended targets and results.  The PO will also adapt and apply SC evaluation guidelines to the project in Hai Phong to ensure that programming achieves expected results. 

Person specification
Vietnamese national
University degree
Work experience in HIV prevention with most-at-risk street youth
Excellent interpersonal skills with adults and with students
Good training and management skills
High degree of responsibility, integrity and personal and professional ethics
Proven budget management skills and experience.
English language skills.
Good computing skills (word processing, spread sheets, email).
