HealthRight International, formerly Doctors of the World- USA is a health and human rights organization working where health is diminished or endangered by violations of human rights and civil liberties.  Reaching out to the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, HealthRight works with local partners to build sustainable access to health care for excluded populations. 

HealthRight is seeking a Social Worker to join the Case Management Team as part of the project ‘Community – Based Care Options for Orphans and Vulnerable Children project in Hanoi’.  Composed of a Social Worker, a Social Worker and a Psychologist, the Case Management Team works to conduct home visits, assessing and catering to the needs of clients, as well as building the capacity of Home-Based Care workers to do the same.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist HealthRight in building and strengthening a service referral network where OVC and their families/caregivers can receive state- and NGO- provided social, medical and psychological services.
- Establish initial contact with OVC families and/or caregivers identified through HealthRight Home-Based Care (HBC) team. Assess and engage OVC and their caregivers.
- Together with the case management team develop and fulfil a case management plan to provide social, medical and psychological support to children and family members
- Ensure follow-up support to OVC and their families, including joint family home visits with HBC workers.
- Provide side-by-side mentoring and on-the-job training during joint home visits with the HBC workers.
- Conduct with the case management team monthly case conferences for HBC workers
- Provide regular professional supervision of HBC Team Leaders
- Monitor distribution of material support for OVC and caregivers
- Participate in strategizing and planning meetings
- Identify OVC for whom family or kinship care cannot be continued or is not available and refer them to HealthRight Foster Care Coordinator. 
- Participate in project monitoring and evaluation and results dissemination activities.
- Manage all the SoS center’s activities

Administration
- Keep information on mothers, their children and families confidential
- Collect data on provided health care support; report data to Program Coordinator on a regular basis
- Assist with other project-related activity as the need arises

Requirements
- Degree in Social Work, Public Health or related field. Candidates with no tertiary qualifications but extensive relevant experience may also be considered.
- At least 1-2 years of social work experience
- Prior work with children, particularly children living with or affected by HIV
- Skills working with most at-risk populations
- Fluency in Vietnamese and strong English skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word
- Ability to maintain professional case management record
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding work related issues
- Ability to travel within the suburb areas of Hanoi
