U.S. Firm Grants Scholarships to Vietnamese Students
U.S.-based Kimberly-Clark Vietnam granted 300 scholarships worth VND300 million ($16,802) in total to Vietnamese students on October 14, state media reported Thursday. The Thanh Nien newspaper reported that the scholarships are part of the company’s scholarship program for Vietnamese female students in the 2008-2009 academic year. Kimberly-Clark Corporation produces mostly paper-based consumer products. Kimberly-Clark brand name products include “Kleenex” facial tissue, “Kotex” feminine hygiene products, “Cottonelle” toilet paper, Wypall utility wipes, “KimWipes” scientific cleaning wipes and “Huggies” disposable diapers. The group now has approximately 55,000 employees.
