Vietnam Central Province to Build Two Wastewater Treatment Plants
Vietnam’s central province of Khanh Hoa plans to build two wastewater treatment plants with a combined capacity of 78,000 cu.m in Nha Trang City, state media reported Friday. The Thanh Nien newspaper reported that the construction will include one plant with a daily capacity of 19,000 cu.m in the north of the Cai river and other with a daily capacity of 59,000 cu.m in the south of the city. The projects are expected to reduce environmental pollution caused by wastewater in the city, environmentalists said. According to the Nha Trang Bay Reserve, every day nearly 10 tons of wastewater is dumped into the sea by tourism facilities and locals in Nha Trang City.
