Vietnam Students Win ASEAN Scholarships

Seventeen Vietnamese secondary students have won ASEAN scholarships to study four years in selected schools in Singapore.Of the 17 recipients, 14 came from Hanoi and three from Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam News Agency said, giving no details about total capital of the scholarships. First launched in 1996 by the Singaporean government, the ASEAN secondary scholarships are granted to around 20-25 students every year. So far, about 270 Vietnamese students have been awarded this scholarship.
