Vietnam Holds 6th Scientific Conference on Organ Transplant Nov 8-9

The 108 Military Central Hospital and the Vietnam Society of Organ Transplantation (VSOT) hosted the sixth scientific conference on advanced organ transplant techniques in Hanoi on November 8- 9, local media reported. The conference featured scientists from international transplant associations, experts from the United States and Australia, as well as 1,000 delegates nationwide. As many as 120 researches, including ten reports by foreign scientists, on transplant surgeries of heart, kidney, pediatric, and liver, were presented at the seminar. The event also offered opportunities for researchers to update advancements on transplant immunology and share experiences about immune drugs, care, and treatment issues after surgeries. So far, Vietnam has operated 4,200 cases of organ transplant, including 521 ones so far in 2019, said Professor-Dr. Mai Hong Bang, director of the 108 Military Central Hospital. (QDND, nhandan.com.vn)
