Vietnam Records 15.5K Dengue Fever Cases, 11.1K HFM Cases in Jan-Apr

Vietnam recorded 15,500 dengue fever cases and 11,100 hand-foot-mouth cases in the first four months of this year, according to the latest figures of the government-run General Statistics Office (GSO).

During the four-month period, the country also logged 149 suspected measles cases, 29 rabies infection (29 deaths), 99 viral encephalitis cases, and 24 poisoning cases with 835 patients (with three deaths).

As of April 18, Vietnam had 236,100 people alive infected with HIV, while 114,600 people had been killed by HIV/AIDS, the GSO said.
