Project Coordinator

Job Title        : Project Coordinator  - LABS

Job purpose: Plan in Vietnam has implemented the vocational training program through Livelihoods Advancement Business School (LABS) project for youth from poor and vulnerable backgrounds. Many graduates from this program are now successfully employed. We are currently working with local NGO to implement and expand the project. The position is to provide support to the LABS Project Manager to manage the project implementation in Da nang and Hue.

Main responsibilities:
- Work with project management team to ensure project activities are carried out according to agreed plans.
- Work with local NGO management to ensure smooth transition of management from Plan in Vietnam to local INGO over the project cycle.
- Responsible for keeping track of and recording project performance to objectives and update Project Manager of any issues or discrepancies.
- Develop, maintain and review a detailed implementation plan for Central area as required by the project.
- Prepare budget plan and monitor project expenditure and ensure that it follows the approved implementation plan.
- Support the local NGO in the recruitment, selection, performance management and capacity building for project and other relevant staff.
- Build positive public/private partnerships with the private sector in Central area.
- Maintain and establish relationships with relevant Government agencies.
- Consolidate short briefing document’s about best practices and lessons learnt
- Report regularly to the Project Manager on project implementation status for the quarterly and annual donor reports.
- Work with the project manager to identify suitable funding opportunities.
      
Requirements:
- Vietnamese national.
- A university graduate in education, vocational training, business administration or relevant fields
- At least 3 years working experience for training, social enterprises development. Experience with development projects and/or INGOs would be an advantage;
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- An entrepreneurial outlook
- Proficient in English and computer
- Flexible, ‘can do’ attitude
- Good team worker
- Results orientated
