Programme Manager
The Centre for Community Socio-Economic and environmental Development (CSEED) is a Vietnamese NGO established in January 2006 under the decision of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA).
Their mission is to support sustainable livelihoods and environment development in targeted vulnerable and marginalized communities.
CSEED is looking for an experienced and qualified Vietnamese to fill in the position of Programme Manager. The Programme Manager reporting to the Director will be based in CSEED office located in Hanoi and with 20-30% of his/her working time travel to project sites.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic directions for CSEED programme to address strategic priority during specific period.
- Represent CSEED in relevant workshops/meetings to present on CSEED for advocacy and or for fund raising
- Lead CSEED project team in designing development projects for submission to relevant donors.
- Assist and monitor performance of CSEED project staff and partner staff in their facilitating and monitoring role to ensure proper implementation of project
- Ensure projects compliant with CSEED operation quality and financial requirement.
- Contribute to management system development of CSEED
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Required:
- MA in one of the following fields: Agriculture, Economics, Environment, community development, social work and/or business administration.
- Have at least 5 years work experience in community development including demonstrated capacity in program management. Experience in program implementation, community mobilization and participatory approach would be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in capacity building for local stakeholders/partners.
- Good presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to make decisions on difficult issues at project team level and at project site level
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Experience in managing and supervising staff.
- High sense of responsibility for work quality and for employer’s interest
- Good written and oral communications skills in Vietnamese and English, particularly report writing skills.
