Project Administrative and Financial Officer
Animals Asia Foundation is a Hong Kong-based government-registered animal welfare charity founded by Jill Robinson MBE in 1998. It is devoted to the needs of wild, domesticated and endangered species throughout Asia and dedicated to ending cruelty and restoring respect for all animals. In Vietnam, Animals Asia has signed an agreement with the Government of Vietnam to rescue 200 bears and to establish a world class Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre (VBRC) in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province. Our primary goals are to end bear farming, contribute to the conservation of bears in Vietnam and in the region and improve the welfare of such bears already in captivity.
Animals Asia is recruiting a Project Administrative and Financial Officer to be based at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province to assist with the centre’s activities.
Location: Tam dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province
Type: Full time
Term: Two year contract extendable based on performance with initial 2 months probationary period.
Salary: 345-558 USD gross per month + benefits
Description of duties:
- Provide administrative support to all departments in VBRC
- Process all payment requests, and cash withdrawals from the bank, obtain the necessary authorisation according to delegated authorisation levels.
- Prepare monthly tax return and payment of social & health insurance for staff.
- Monitor cash on hand and cash at bank.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
- Prepares accounting schedules and reports as needed from time to time upon request by line manager.
- Assist project teams to prepare for workshops, trainings, meetings and other project activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications & Personal Requirements:
- University degree in accounting or finance
- Similar experience (minimum 3 years) in finance and office administration.
- Good computer skills (Word processing and spreadsheet packages.) Experience with Misa System accounting a distinct advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Vietnamese and international financial and accounting principles, and relevant regulations (incl. Tax, Social insurance, VAT etc)
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to work to plan and organise work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results
- Ability to take charge and make decisions, including delegation where appropriate.
- Able to work in Tam Dao National Park
