Project Officer; Project Assistant
CARE in Vietnam is a Non-Government Organization representing the CARE International network. CARE in Vietnam is a creative and dynamic organization, working with Vietnamese partners in the sectors of health, rural development and disaster mitigation and preparedness.
CARE in Vietnam is looking for an experienced and qualified Vietnamese to fill in Project Officer and Project Assistant for the project named GAP. This project aims at providing opportunities to develop the life skills of female garment workers (FGW) employed in Vina-Korea factory producing GAP Inc goods in Vinh Phuc province.
Project Officer Position information:
Position title: Project Officer
Reporting to: Project Manager
Contract: One year contract with potential for extension
Base in: Hanoi with travel to project sites when required
Position Summary
The Project Office is responsible to assist the Project Manager to carry out the all project trainings in Vinh Phuc province, monitor and support a group of trainers for FGW.
Duties:
1. Facilitate the development and implementation of work plans
2. Contribute to the development of training curriculum, training materials and training agenda;
3. Delivery training as a trainer ;
4. Liaison and coordinate with trainer team in delivery training in a timely manner;
5. Conduct regular monitoring activities via telephone, email and field visits to ensure the quality of work undertaken by the project partners in the project site;
6. Collect, analyse and manage information to develop progress reports on project activities in the agreed formats;
7. Carry out all day-to-day project financial and administrative work including budgeting, filing, travel plans and procedures;
8. Keep weekly contact and maintain good working relations with the focal point of Vina-Korea factory in Vinh Phuc province;
9. Attend the relevant meetings on behalf of the project team as requested by Project Manager;
10. Arrange logistics for incoming donor missions, make appointments with project stakeholders, including logistical arrangements and secretarial assistance;
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Administration, Laws, Arts, and other equivalences
- At least 1 year working experience as a trainer on life skills for adults, young people, women, or girls
- Good interpersonal communication, training and facilitation skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and with minimal supervision
- Good computer skills on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail applications
- Familiarity with and commitment to gender equity and diversity
- Good written and spoken English skills
Project Assistant Position information:
Position title: Project Assistant

Base in: Hanoi with travel to project sites when required
Position Summary
The Project Assistant will assist the Project Manager to carry out all project activities as needed with a particular emphasis on supporting the team with planning and logistics for activities.
Duties:
1. Carry out all day-to-day project financial and administrative tasks including travel arrangements, procurement of goods, and maintenance of project related documents;
2. Provide logistical support as instructed by Project Manager for all project training courses, workshops in project sites;
3. Collect and store information to develop progress reports on project activities in the agreed formats
4. Arrange logistics for incoming donor missions, make appointments with project stakeholders, including logistical arrangements and secretarial assistance;
5. Assist Project Manager in conducting monitoring activities to ensure the quality of work undertaken by the project partner in the project site;
6. Attend the relevant meetings on behalf of the project team as requested by Project Manager;
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Administration, Laws and other equivalences
- At least 1 year experience in finance and administration job
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and with minimal supervision
- Good computer skills on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail applications
