Division: Operation Division (OD), Good Neighbors International in Viet Nam
Reports to: Country Director, Managing Director and International Headquarters
Location: Ha Noi, Viet Nam
Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development NGO in General Consultative Status with the UN ECOSOC. As of 2011, GN International is operating in 27 countries including Viet Nam, where large scale operations carry out catered on community development initiatives in rural areas such as child education, water and sanitation, income generation and agricultural training. The organization is currently implementing on community development projects (CDPs) with the support of the International Headquarters and it is seeking to hire an OD Manager assigned with following responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all CDPs and be the main contact point for the community and the local staff;
- Responsible for overseeing planning projects, development of projects, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes;
- Responsible for completing and submitting the annual Plan of Actions (POA) to a Country Director and a Managing Director;
- Oversee the preparation and submission of Monthly Activity Report;
- Ensure close cooperation and coordination with operating partners for smooth implementation of projects;
- Responsible for local staff training and development;
- Build strong and effective working relationships with government/local authorities, community leaders and formalizes relationships through agreements and contracts;
- Provide support to other projects and services when necessary to insure adequate office coverage;
- Frequent travel to project site offices required;
- Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The minimum qualifications for this job are a university degree in social science, international development, management or relevant field with three years of experiences and;
- Strong oral and written communication in English
- Proficiency in computer applications is required; Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred
- Strong critical thinking and decision making skills and proven ability to work well under pressure is essential
