National Consultant to do a Community Based Study for Making Assessment and Recommendations on Support to the UXO Victims

The Project: “Strengthen Capacity for implementing and monitoring Policies on ethnic minorities ” (EMPCD) funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for 2008-2012 to improve capacity for CEMA and Department of Ethnic Minority Affairs (DEMA) of Lai Chau, Quang Nam and Binh Phuoc in formulating, implementing and monitoring policies on ethnic minorities.

The project’s activities are based on the performance result of the VIE02/001 project which supports the “National Target Program for Poverty Reduction” and “the Socio-economic development program for Ethnic Minorities and mountainous areas- Program 135-II”. The project will focus on 3 capacity-related aspects: institutional development; strengthen leadership capacity and strengthen staff capacity.
The project’s objectives are to improve capacity for CEMA and DEMAs of the aforementioned provinces in formulating, disseminating, implementing and monitoring Ethnic Minorities-related policies in a scientific and participatory method.

The EMPCD is now supporting CEMA in Providing 01 National Consultant to do a community based study for making assessment and recommendations on support to the UXO victims.
