Coordinator of CIAI Intercountry Adoption program in Vietnam
The Italian Association for Aid to Children (CIAI) is a Non Governmental Organization founded in 1968. It since has been working to promote the recognition of the child as a person and protect its fundamental rights to life, to health, to a family, to education, to play and to innocence, wherever it may be.
To protect and promote these rights, CIAI has chosen to operate on three interrelated levels: development cooperation, promotion of the culture of children’s rights and international adoption.
The conviction that every child has fundamental rights that must be guaranteed becomes practice through projects of development cooperation, which CIAI implements in 7 countries. This objective is pursued through the fight against poverty and marginalization, and by stimulating the creation of legal standards, including the development of local foster care and of domestic adoption systems. CIAI’s development cooperation activities also include a Sponsorship Programme.
CIAI works in the following countries: Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Colombia, India, Italy, Thailand, Vietnam and China.
