Internship – Value Chain Analysis/Knowledge Management Agriculture Sector

Background
SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+.
SNV is engaged in the agriculture sector implementing Sustainable Market, Inclusive Business and Climate Smart Agriculture projects and activities. Within this sector SNV is looking for an Intern to support projects’ activities including value chain analysis & research, knowledge management, business development and communication. The Intern will contribute to the value chain component of the agriculture projects including sustainable rice production, spices, tea and coffee; among others
Responsibilities
- Support in agriculture research and knowledge management activities
- Assist in data collection and analysis systematization; and case study development as part of M&E
- Support in report development for donor’s and clients
- Support in material development for communication and business development activities
Candidate Profile
- English native speaker
- Excellent oral and written (English) communication skills
- University degree in economics, agriculture, agronomy, agribusiness, international development or related field.
- At least 01 year of experience in the agriculture sector
- Understanding of agriculture value chains, market-based approach, sustainable production standards
- Some experience in knowledge management, monitoring & evaluation, and communication activities in agricultural value chains
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency in Windows and Office based programs
SNV will support the intern a limited allowance and local travelling expenses when the intern is required to work in the fields out of the working station in Hanoi. He/she will benefit from a 1 year contract, working with multi-national team of professionals with rich and diverse fields of expertise.
