Sponsorship Service Officer

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has been operating in 30 countries, supporting approximately 16.8 million people, including 9.6 million children.

Good Neighbors in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI is working in main areas such as child sponsorship and education, water and sanitation, income generation, etc. in 9 CDPs and is managing 7,346 sponsored children.

Type of contract: 8-month term

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal
Country director, Managing director, HO Managers/officers, Project Managers, FO staffs

External

GNI’s donors, Partners, Governmental Officials, INGOs, Community beneficiaries

2. MAIN DUTIES

  • Closely work with sponsorship officers at field offices in planning and implementing activities related to sponsorship such as annual gift, lunch feeding, health check, etc
  • Be the person in charge of the program “Child Empowering Services” (CES)
  • Ensure the deadlines and outputs of activities
  • Take part in developing POA and its relevant contents
  • Take part in the exercise of expanding project sites (PAP – PPF)
  • Participate in trainings and provide relevant trainings for related staffs
  • Deal with other tasks assigned by management levels

3. REQUIREMENTS

Education: University graduate in social work or related fields

Work experience:
- At least 2 years relevant working experience
- Experience and skills of working with children
- Good understanding about child rights convention (CRC) and laws on child care and protection

Skills:
- Ability to gather and analyze statisticial data and intergrate reports
- Good English skills in writing and speaking
- Good computers skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills

Attitude: sociable, responsive, committed; teamwork and accountable
