Project Assistant

Pathfinder International’s mission in Vietnam is to support the government, private sector and civil society to strengthen health systems for improved quality of sexual and reproductive health care that meet the needs of underserved and disadvantaged populations. To this end, PI supports efforts to strengthen pre-service and in-service training in health care, including core clinical reproductive health practices, youth-friendly services and HIV/AIDS. In addition, PI works to strengthen primary health care (PHC) and reproductive health management practices and policies supportive of quality PHC and RH training and services. We are seeking for qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Project Assistant (PA) for Health Management Information System (HMIS) project and a study on the effectiveness of applying mobile technology (mhealth) in continuing medical education. This position is based in Ha Noi.

The position of Project Assistant will provide timely and daily support to Program Officer(s) or assigned staff to a project in implementing and monitoring project activities effectively. ToR is attached for details.

Professional requirements:

1.Relevant university degree
2.At least one year of professional experience in health and/or development programs
3.Strong  written and verbal translations skill  (English and Vietnamese)
4.Previous experience with an international organization and/or government agency is preferred

Personal requirements:

  • Highly responsible, organized person with attention to details
  • Strong personal communication skills to communicate and maintain contact with partners and sub-grantees
  • Strong computer and information technology skills
  • Able to work both independently and as team member
  • Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines
  • Able and willing to travel within Vietnam
