General information
Caritas Switzerland in Vietnam (Caritas) has been operating in Vietnam since 1996. Since starting its activities in Vietnam, Caritas has been committed to improve the livelihoods of poor marginalized people, focusing on ethnic minority communities, who live in remote areas and benefitting least from national economic growth. Caritas themes 2012-2016 include humanitarian and development assistance activities in the fields of (1) Sustainable Livelihoods; (2) Water, Hygiene and Environment; (3) Social Issues and Human Rights; (4) Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Relief.
Caritas is seeking for an experienced consultant to develop mid-term and annual business plans for the Viet Quang Bamboo Handicraft Cooperative. Detailed Terms of Reference are attached.
Qualifications required
The consultant should possess complementary qualifications and experience which cover not least the following areas of experience and expertise:
- MBA or Masters Degree in Business, Development Economics or related fields
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business planning, value chain development, market development and related fields
- Strong record in value chain or market analysis, market development and related fields
- Understanding and experience in bamboo sector is a must with a preference for though who have proved understanding of bamboo sector in Vietnam
- Proven excellent report writing skills (reference preferred)
