Project Support Officer A1

The British Embassy in Hanoi is part of a world-wide network of 230 posts representing British political, defence, economic, trade, and consular interests around the world. We are currently looking to recruit a part-time Project Support Officer – Grade A1. This is a part-time position on a 1-Year fixed-term contract.
The Project Support Officer will provide financial and administrative support to project officers so they can deliver projects effectively. The jobholder will support the Programmes and Projects Coordinator in the bidding process, programme evaluation and impact assessment of projects.
The job holder will work closely with the Programmes and Projects Coordinator to ensure continuity when either of them is absent.
Main Functions
- Support project officers in coordinating with project implementers including: checking invoices, ensuring invoices are sent on time, providing support on budgetary work, ensuring timely payments to implementers, filing etc.
- PRISM: requisitioning, receipting and housekeeping.
- Support the Programmes and Projects Coordinator and officers in project evaluation and impact assessment. Organise visits from teams in London and the region (i.e. organising meetings, logistics).
- Support the bidding process (i.e. collating papers, filing documents).
- Provide logistical support to project activities and events, including inward and outward visits.
- Provide support in coordinating inward, in-country and outward visits, including arranging air tickets, hotel, travel insurance, per diem, in-country transport, interpretation / translation when needed.
- Support the organisation of project-funded events such as workshops, conferences and outreach activities including: translation of documents, banners, booking venues, organising interpretation, ensuring venues are set up on time.
- Any other project-related duties as requested.
Requirements
Essential
- Good written and oral communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English and Vietnamese
- Strong budgetary skills including invoicing and receipting
- Ability to work with others and with the team
- Good IT skills, proficiency in using MS Office applications
Desirable
- Relevant work experience, preferably in an international organisation
- Experience using an online accounting system

The annual salary for this position starts at VND 91,290, 000.
