1. BACKGROUND
Passerelles numériques (PN), a non-profit organisation, is dedicated to provide education, technical and professional training in the digital sector to young underprivileged people by leveraging their potential and willpower. We endeavour to truly develop their employability which will allow them and their families to escape poverty in a sustainable way, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries.
Established in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam, Passerellesnumériques currently trains 555 students and aims to train 750 in the next three years. PN employs 96 people based in these three countries including a small team in France.
Passerellesnumériques relies on the financial and skills sponsorship of several corporate partners such as Accenture, Econocom-Osiatis, CA Technologies and Microsoft and also receives support from individual donors.
In partnership with the University of Da Nang, PN Vietnam currently trains 100 students and has welcomed a new batch of 45 students early September 2015.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION
Passerellesnumériques is looking for a SelectionAssistantfor its vocational training centre in Da Nang.
Under the direct supervision of the Selection coordinator, s/he will be required to actively participate to the 4 steps of the selection process: the information sessions, the written tests, the individual interviews and the social investigations.
S/he will mostly work at PN Vietnam office to provide the logistic assistance for the Selection team and will sometimes have to travel to the project areas at different steps of the selection process.
The selected areas are 7 provinces of central Vietnam: QuangBinh, Quang Tri, Danang, Quang Nam, QuangNgai, Binh Dinh, Kontum.
3. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Logistic Support and revision of the material
The assistant willsupport the coordinator for the logistic and the revision of the material and necessary documents of eachstep of the selection.
- Revise all documents required by the Selection Coordinator or/and Manager.
- Prepare required materials and equipmentfor each tripof the selection and ensure the sufficient quality and quantity. Details:presentation, flyers, application forms for the Information Sessions; tests, answer sheets, correction sheets, interview documents for the Written test en Interviews; investigation guideline, grid and others for the Social Investigation.
- Support the Selection coordinator to prepare letters on working schedule in provinces to send to partners.
- Make advance payment and claim expenses for the selection trips.
2. Support the coordinator during the trips of selection
The assistant willjoinat least one trip to the project areas ateachstep of the selectionprocess.
- Support the coordinator in terms of logistic, organization and animation on the field. Details: co-animate the information session, supervise the written tests and lead individual interviews and visit and interview the families.
- Be the interpreter when foreigners join the trips
- Replace the coordinator if necessary to: conduct information sessions, supervise the written tests and interviews and work as a social investigator. As well as supervise the staff joining the trips and work directly with the different partners (schools, Studying Promotion Associations (SPA) and local authorities).
3. Communication
- Create new communication tools as required by the selection coordinator and maintain the facebook page of the Selection updated.
- Ensure a smooth communication and collaboration with the different partners of the selection with the support of the manager and coordinator: high schools, local authorities, university, NGOs.
- Download pictures of the selection on the server.
4. Reporting
- Support the coordinator to input all data related to the selection process.
- Complete the follow up files and ensure the capitalization of information related to the logistic and organization of the trips.
- If required, revise and analyze the data.
- Do other administrative tasks required by the Selection Team: fill up incoming and outgoing letters, translate documents from Vietnamese to English/ and vice versa…
- Assist the coordinator in the preparation of the reportsto partners.
4. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Technical skills
- Bachelor degreeand/or experience in Humanities or Social work would be highly appreciate
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook...
- Fluent English speaking and writing
General and soft skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Very good capacity of adaptation and flexibility
- Capable to take initiatives and work independently
- Confident, moderate and patient to handle complex situation
- Dedicated to the project
- Capable to drive motorbike in mountainous areas
- Ability to travel to project provinces for several days with different transportation means (car, motorbike and bus)
