Consultancy Services at German Red Cross
The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC) with the technical support of the German Red Cross(GRC) has been implemented the Flood Proofing and Drainage for Medium-sized Coastal Cities in Vietnam Climate Change Adaptation Project - Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Component since December 2013.
The aim of the Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) component of the project has been to reduce the vulnerability and increase the capacity of the local government and the affected communities to better prepare and adapt to flood risks in two target cities, Quy Nhon and Tuy Hoa. Supported by the German International Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in its cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and the respective People’s Committee of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen, VNRC and GRC have supported the local authorities and civil societies in developing potential synergies between DRM and CCA with focus on DRM planning from Provincial to households levels.
Now that the project is coming to its end, GRC is seeking the service of (a) 1 (one) consultant/ consultancy firm to evaluate the contribution of the project in DRM planning at all levels and to inform the overarching project indicators, and (b) 1 (one) consultant to finalize a narrative report on the Baseline Knowledge Attitude and Practice (KAP) survey and to write a narrative report on the End-line KAP survey.
