Protected Areas Coordinator

Please be informed that WWF-Vietnam is seeking for capable candidate for the position of  Protected Areas Coordinator, Yorkdon-EPL (based in Dak Lak, Vietnam)

The Protected Areas Coordinator provides support to the Country Wildlife Practice Focal Point in the planning, management, implementation, monitoring and reporting of ‘Tiger Greater Mekong’ project activities to ensure compliance with the Project Document and WWF’s contractual obligations. (S)he acts as a contact person of WWF-Vietnam in Dak Lak, builds up cooperative relationships between WWF-Vietnam with local partners, including the government agencies, management boards of protected forests and national parks, forestry companies and local communities.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in conservation, natural resource management, bioregional planning, environmental, or in relevant fields. Additional courses on Project Management and business and marketing are advantages
• Knowledge of conservation and natural resource management, policy/institutional context issues in Vietnam, especially in related fields
• Good understanding of the local context, especially the administrative management system, relationships of local agencies, socio-economic and environmental conditions of Dak Lak province.
• 5 years of practical experience in managing project in either NGOs or bilateral development agencies, 2 years of which should be in related fields
• Experience of working with relevant local agencies such as DARD, DONRE, local government, communities and international donors.
• Networking and teamwork
• Good presentation & interpersonal skills ?
• Planning, organization, time management, facilitation and coordination
• Report writing
