DRR & Emergency Project Manager

We are looking for one Vietnamese national for:
Vacancy: DRR & Emergency Project Manager
Based in Hochiminh City

Main Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the overall field management of Save the Children’s KOCIA-funded DRR/WASH Project activities.

The Project Manager (PM) DRR and Emergency Response (DRR&ER) in Southern region is a member of DRR&ER team and is primarily responsible for the management of the KOICA-funded DRR&WASH Project in Ca Mau with a view to ensuring provision of services for the most marginalised children and their families.

The PM will assist to ensure that Save the Children Vietnam activities are consistent with SCI and Members’ programming principles and approaches, draw on good practices and lessons learned, enable children to attain their rights and are compliant with donor regulations.

Key Competencies:

Essential

  • University degree in community development, social development or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing project teams remotely.
  • Experience of working with local government and partners.
  • Experience writing donor reports.
  • Experience of managing consultants.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude to team work.
  • Working level of spoken and written English.
  • Commitment to Save the Children’s values.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with community based adaptation models.
  • Familiarity with community based researches and assessments.
  • Experience in DRR/WASH, preferably with an NGO.
  • Prior experience in DRR/WASH and/or livelihood programming is a plus.
  • Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Be both self-confident and humble.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and fun environment.
