Office Driver

The Position

ICRAF is seeking for the professional matured driver to meet transportation service of office staff and visistors. The position will be based in Ha Noi office with frequently travel to project sites. Under direct supervision of administrative staff, her/his main duties and responsibilities as follows.

Duties and Responsibilities

Task 1. Provide transportation services for the ICRAF Viet Nam Office, including:

  • Provide transportation service, specially assigned for the DG and if needed for visitors or VIP's safely to any destination
  • Perform airpot transfer service for office staff and visistors
  • Deliver/pick-up important institute documents
  • Ensure comfort and safety of all passengers, by driving safely and complying to the traffic rules.
  • Ensure to and monitor traffic rules and regulations and safety requirements (e.g., seat belt) of passengers and driver.

Task 2. Provide proper care and maintenance of assigned vehicle

  • Check for the roadmap, readiness and safety of assigned vehicle before the trip
  • Submit vehicle condition report if there's unusual condition in the vehicle after the trip, including any damage cause by accident.
  • Report immediately and/or recommend to the supervisor any repairs needed on the vehicle.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is clean and presentable and all necessary tools are ready for usage.

Task 3. Administrative errands support when necessary

  • Submit accomplished milage-log book to supervisor for vehicle maintenance record
  • Keep vehicle documents (registration, maintenance record) and own driving license up to date
  • Provide basic administrative support when not on travel, such as photocopying, faxing, binding the report, collating and distributing the communication materials etc.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Driving license from B2-level, high school degree.
  • At least five years of professional driving experience with safe travel records.
  • Experience in working with NGO or foreign join-investment company is preferable.
  • Well organized and time management; able to meet deadline and pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in multi-cultural teams.
  • Having interest in receiving feedback from others
  • Having basic knowledge of vehicle trouble-shooting and minor repairs
  • Being matured and respectful of confidental information
  • Basic command of English.

Terms of offer

  • Initial two-year contract with a competitive salary.
  • The contract is subject to 3 (three) months probation period, assessment of performance and availability of resources
