Terms of Reference (ToR) for Intern for Drop-out Survey in Anh Chi Em (ACE)
Microfinance Program

Reports to: Operation Manager, ACE Program
Duration: 1 month/

1. ACE’s background

Anh Chi Em (ACE) is a social microfinance program set up and supported by a French NGO, Entrepreneurs du Monde (EdM), since 2007. ACE operates in poor and remote/disadvantage locations of Dien Bien Province and provides financial and non-financial services aiming to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people from ethnic minorities. In 2018, ACE has operated in 15 communes with almost 5,000 beneficiaries in Dien Bien and Muong Ang districts, Dien Bien province.

ACE program will conduct drop-out survey in December, 2018 to handle with its dormant accounts, and more importantly, to understand which areas to be improved and changed.

2. Key responsibilities

• Collect information, data based on questionnaire for the sampled beneficiaries in the ACE’s operating communes of two districts Dien Bien and Muong An
• Input data collected into ACE’s software for data storing and analysis.
• Coordinate and communicate with Operation Manager (OM) to ensure progress of the survey and quality of information/data collection .
• Support EdM technical staff for analysis and reporting.

3. Skills and Competence

• Graduate in Agri Science, Social Science/Economics/ BBA or relevant field.
• Quality-oriented attitude of working; Quan tâm ??n ch?t l??ng công vi?c;
• Willing to work with farmers in disadvantage mountainous areas and marginalised community;
• Strong communication skills; ability to work comfortably with partners, and staff;
• Good at basic computer skills
• Good at English is an advance
• Skillful at assessment, survey is an advantage;
• No minimum experiences required, we are looking for candidate with strong desire to learn and improve.

4. Reporting Line

The volunteer will be supervised, guided by OM of ACE.

5. Allowance

The intern will be paid a fixed negotiation allowance for one-month internship and perdiem to cover his/her travelling from ACE head office to the field in accordance to ACE’s perdiem policy.
