VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ Viet Nam is currently engaged in three priority areas: 1) Vocational training; 2) Environmental policy and sustainable natural resource use; 3) Energy. The joint technical cooperation programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Viet Nam” (TVET Programme) is financed by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with counterpart funds from the Vietnamese Government. The implementing agencies are the GIZ and the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA). The TVET Programme consists of three components:

• TVET Policy Advice and System Reform
• Support of Centres of Excellence
• TVET for Skilled Workers in the Wastewater Sector

The TVET Programme is looking for qualified national candidates to fill the following position:

National Intern
Duty station: Hanoi
Duration: 01. August 2019 – 31. October 2019

Main tasks:

a. Assistance in implementation of programme activities

• assist programmes officers in translating documents (Vietnamese/English/German)
• support the preparation and organisation of workshops, training courses and other events
• participate in internal and external meetings/workshops and assist in documenting these events

b. Knowledge management

• share previous and acquired knowledge and information with programme responsible person

c. Other duties/additional tasks:

• perform other duties and tasks if requested.

Minimum requirements:

• Vietnamese nationality;
• As student of the last study year at a university or has recently completed bachelor/master study;
• Excellent oral and written translation and communication skills in English and Vietnamese and German.
• Good knowledge at MS Office, organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and with team
• Good attitude and high principal
• Willing to learn and contribute to the work
• The internship requires letter from university or your degree shows that you graduated from the university no longer than six months ago upon commencement of the internship.
• The internship requires university enrolment or the finalization of your degree no longer than six months ago upon commencement of the internship.
