In 1985, WWF began working on a national conservation strategy and since then has worked closely with the Vietnamese Government on a diverse range of environment issues and implemented field activities across the country.

We are looking for committed, result-driven candidates for the following 2 positions:

1. SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER, SIDA PROJECT (Base in Hue, Vietnam)

Major functions:  Responsible for implementation of project(s) activities in the project provinces and ensures compliance with the project document and WWF’s contractual obligations. This includes responsibilities for technical, financial and administrative aspects of the project activities on the fields. The Senior Project Officer will also ensure close collaboration with and good coordination of CSO partners, and relevant stakeholders in project implementation.

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, agriculture, natural resources management, forestry or other relevant fields
  • Knowledge of sustainable forest management, FSC, VPA-FLEGT process; business development and forest policies;
  • Minimum 8 years of practical experience in implementing projects, preferably in conservation or community engagement and private sector development
  • Knowledge on CFM model formation and running;
  • Experience in CSO and CBO capacity building and sustainable development.
  • Experience of working with Government officials, local communities;
  • Experience in financial management and reporting; conducting studies and coordinating research activities;
  • Knowledge of M&E methodology, quality assurance is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills with the ability to manage and interact at all levels of an international, multicultural and multilingual organization
  • Good People management, coaching and capacity building/development;
  • English & Vietnamese proficiency, strong technical report writing skills (in English);

2. PROJECT ADMIN OFFICER (Base in Hochiminh, Vietnam)

Major functions:  Responsible for providing daily administrative and communication supports to assigned projects in Ho Chi Minh Field Office. He/she is also responsible for supporting to produce communications content for internal and external communications.

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in English, social sciences, business administration, business management or in relevant fields of natural resources conservation
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in areas related to administration, Accountant, communications, public relations or public relations
  • Basic knowledge of website and content management systems, media relations is preferred
  • A good understanding of current digital communications platforms to promote conservation issues; experience navigating and pushing content out on a variety of social media channels;
  • Basic knowledge of environmental and conservation issues in Viet Nam is an advantage
  • Knowledge of local finance and accounting system, standards and practices
  • Good understanding of normal practices in non-profit organizations
  • Organizing/ planning, time management, negotiation and problem-solving skills;
  • Detail focus, enthusiastic, friendly and careful.
  • News writing, editing, press release writing skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
